The Oxford, UK-based quarter Foals have been praised by publications such as QViceNME and others as one of the UK’s most exciting bands. And the British quartet will be crossing the pond to tour with Cage the Elephant to support their third and latest album, Holy Fire

“My Number” is the one oft he first singles off the new album and sonically it’s a slickly produced bit of indie electro pop that puts the quartet in a line of great acts such as Cut Copy, Bear in Heaven as the single pairs a propulsive feel with plaintive vocals, glistening synths and deeply funky bass line.

The official video has the band playing a live show at a small, sweaty club in a nondescript town and it manages to portray some aspects of live shows with a startling accuracy – mainly, the moment that a group of people can share at a live show when they hear their favorite artist play their favorite song live; the desperate attempts by some to hook up with someone – er, anyone; and the poor bastard desperately trying to squeeze into a sold out show, but has to deal with a bouncer who won’t let him in. Ah, so very familiar!
