As far as contemporary emcees there are few that are as prolific and as consistent as Homeboy Sandman and as the Brown Bag AllStars’ Koncept. Produced by Marco Polo, Koncept’s latest single “Watch the Sky Fall” with Royce Da 5’9", employs a haunting string and xylophone sample that’s reminiscent of Nas’ “Take It In Blood.” Much like Nas’ classic track, there’s a sense of menacing dread and unease. So it shouldn’t be surprising that the accompanying video reveals a scenario that quickly becomes irrevocably bad for the protagonist.
