Born and raised in New Zealand and now based in New Yorker, singer/songwriter Simon Spire’s work has been critically praised by PopMatters, Performer Magazine, MTV.com, mtvU and across the blogosphere. His latest album, Four-Letter Words has been critically applauded overseas, especially in his native New Zealand, and will see a Stateside release on October 22nd. His sound compares favorably to someone like Ryan Adams – you can hear it in the twanginess of “Uncomfortable,” the first single off his forthcoming album.
