Fronted by Tim Foley and Kate Betuel of Los Angeles, CA-based band Cobalt Cranes got quite a bit of attention from LA Weekly, LA Record, and the Fader after the release of their In Media Res EP which was released two years ago. They’ll be releasing their much anticipated full-length debut Head in the Clouds on April 9th through their own Anticc Records. But in the meantime, they just released the first single from the album, “Head in the Clouds” and to me it sounds a bit like Josh Homme‘s Desert Sessions and Silversun Pickups.
