“Genevieve,” is the latest single from New York-based band Lucius’s self-titled EP. Vocalists Holly Laessig and Jess Wolfe’s voices intertwine in harmony and play off each other in a way that’s reminiscent of sugary sweet, girl-led 60s pop band with big, thundering beats and subtly angular instrumentation. It’s a catchy song. And from what I understand Lucius plays a rather energetic show, so look for them on their Fall/Winter tour with Pearl and the Beard and You Won’t.
For those of you in NYC, they’ll be at the Bell House on December 1st.
