If you follow this site on a regular basis, you’ll know that as a freelance music journalist and photographer, I’ve had articles published in a variety of publications, including New York Magazine’s Vulture Blog. In fact, the first and only show I covered for Vulture also managed to be the first show i caught at Death by Audio – Shams, Blondes DJs and Teengirl Fantasy were on the bill and it was a memorable show, because I heard and saw things I had never seen before. 

The Nun EP comes right on the heels of the release of the duo’s sophomore effort Tracer, and it also will be a bit of a teaser for the band’s third full-length album, slated for a 2014 release. Consisting of four tracks, the EP showcases the act’s ability to blend a variety of genres while staying to true to their free-form sound. You’ll hear drum and bass, jungle, footwork and other genres; in fact on “Nun” you’ll hear elements of industrial, trance and minimalist electronica blended together and forcefully being pushed to its climax. 

The video is a fusion of footage gathered from several surveillance footage and other captured footage of Earth’s various ecosystems from the macro to the microscopic. The video is then degraded to a low quality, grainy fucked up quality creating the sense of watching digital noise.
