Late last month, I caught Baltimore-based post punk outfit Ed Schrader’s Music Beat, local indie outfit Big Bliss and experimental act P.E. with special guests, performing as NOPE at Williamsburg’s Union Pool. Photos from the show, below.

Caption: Big Bliss’ Corey Race wound up testing positive for COVID right before the show. Unfortunately, this will be a problem for everyone — especially touring musicians for some time. So the band had to come up with a way to have the show continue onward: they performed with backing tracks while poking a little bit of fun.
P.E. as NOPE
Caption: I’ve been to thousands of shows and this was the first time that I saw anyone use a painting as an actual instrument.
