Earlier this month, I was at Central Park SummerStage for Sony Presents Blue Note Jazz Fest featuring the legendary — and fucking iconic — George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, Blu Eye Extinction, The Motet (with Turkaz Horn Section) and Dopapod. It was a beautiful afternoon and evening full of funky grooves and folks dancing and singing along, and arguably, the most energetic Parliament Funkadelic set I’ve personally seen in some time.
