Usually because of varying schedules, we — that is my mom and me — have never voted together, until today, the first day of early voting here in New York. It took 2.5 hours, and we wound up getting into a screaming match with a Trump supporter, who was harassing voters patiently waiting on line to vote.
This election is arguably one of the two or three most consequential elections of our lifetimes. If you’re legally able to and are registered to vote, please vote. And vote like your life depends on it, because it does.
As for me and mom, we voted for the people that we believe will get us out of this — alive and well. But more important, if a 68 year-old woman, who just beat uterine cancer can wait on line to vote 2.5 hours. So if you’re healthy, you have no excuse. Go vote!
