Last Sunday, I went to the Queens Night Market for their World Cup Final Watch Party. I couldn’t think of a better place to watch Spain vs. Argentina with several thousand neighbors in our collective backyard.

Football is over for a few weeks. Maybe I should finally get into Premier League

After the game, life continued as it always does: A family ran to the Mister Softee truck for postgame ice cream. Local men played a game of pickup soccer. Other men were playing volleyball. Occasionally, a ball would get by and you’d see someone run after it. Other families were barbecuing. The smell of chicken, pork and corn cooking on the grill.

Summer seems to always rush by doesn’t it?
