Photography: Bushwick Graffiti 8/28/22

Yesterday, I was rushing from 18th Ward Brewing, where I caught another weekly installment of New Colossus Festival‘s and 18th Ward Brewing’s Summer Sunday showcase to catch Mexico City-based shoegazers Petite Aime with Lukka, Kid Le Chat and Loosie at Berlin Under A. Because the L train was messed up, I decided to walk to Bushwick Avenue and Grand Street to catch the Q54 or Q59 to Marcy Avenue for a Manhattan-bound J.

On Woodpoint Road, there’s a series of graffiti murals that I’ve long wanted to take a picture of but couldn’t or didn’t. In one instance, it was a torrential rainstorm; in a couple of others, I was exhausted, my feet hurt and I just wanted to go home as soon as I could. This time, it was more of a “why the hell not?”
