Last week, I decided that instead of having something shipped to me from B&H Photo, I’d go to their physical store in Midtown. It gave me an opportunity to be out and about on a gorgeous late spring/early summer afternoon — and a chance to see Carole A. Feurman‘s Sea Idylls, a series of nine, hyper realistic, painted statues of swimmers installed on the traffic islands on Park Avenue South between East 39th Street to East 34th Street.
Sea Idylls went up in April and will be around until December. And if you’re in that part of time, they’re absolutely worthy of your time and attention.
