Caption: You immediately see this building on the corner of Greenpoint Avenue and Manhattan Avenue, when you get out of the Greenpoint Avenue G train station. I’ve passed by this building hundreds of times as I was heading to shows at House of Vans on Franklin Avenue, a few blocks away. The colors seem to explode on a gray or a partially cloudy day.

Caption: Lately the skies have looked stunning to me. And yes, I’ve taken a lot of photos of the sky lately — with passerby looking at me as though I’m crazy or something. But the colors! Goodness, the colors!

The other day was a busy day of shooting that officially and unexpected started in Greenpoint. I was planning on going to the Brooklyn Bridge from my apartment, when a friend of mine wanted to join me; so I met her in Greenpoint, got a ride to the Bridge, took some shots and got a ride home. But while in Greenpoint, I took some photos of some familiar sites to me. Check out the photos.
