For generations, Coney Island’s people and businesses have defiantly resisted countless redevelopment plans, including most recently, a casino plan that would have blocked the iconic views of the amusement parks and beach as the BDF and Q trains round the bend into Stillwell Avenue.
For me, there’s something comforting in knowing that while things that constantly change, there are things that remain pretty much the same.
