I was in Philadelphia last weekend for the first session of the Asian Art Initiative’s Sound Type Music Festival and Music Writers Workshop. Because of the nature of the trip down, it had felt as though it were somehow more of a whirlwind experience than before.
After meeting with the writers group, I rushed off to catch JOVM mainstays Psymon Spine at Silk City Diner. During the portion of the set that I caught, I was struck — as I always am — by how the venue’s lighting hit against their disco ball. So of course, I took a picture, because that’s just what I do!
