FME 2026: Day 2: 9/4/26: Bonbonbon Records hosted a lunch for FME festival delegates, the music press and performers prepared by Masterchef Québec winner Samuel Boisvert.
The weather was perfect — sunny and low 70s. The surroundings, a mansion turned into a music school with a forest-like backyard, a few hundred feet from the shores of Lake Osisko was gorgeous. The company, which included a crew of Anglophones — another American and four young Brits — and some lovely Canadians was delightful.
Boisvert’s food was the star of the afternoon. It was one of the best meals I’ve had all year — and one of my favorites of the past five years. Those ribs y’all. Man, everyone was talking about them. And everything else just exploded with flavor. Merci FME! Merci Bonbonbon Records! Merci Samuel!
