Photography: Food: Miss Shirley’s, Baltimore Inner Harbor 7/8/23
I was in Baltimore for a family reunion earlier this month. I caught up with some cousins on my father’s side of the family. My mom came with me, and it was the first time that we have traveled together with me being an adult. And it was the first time, that she had been to Charm City.
I think a trip to Baltimore isn’t complete without a stop at Miss Shirley‘s in the Inner Harbor for brunch. I’m not even a brunch guy, really, and they arguably have one of the best brunch/breakfast menus I’ve ever seen.
Caption: Maryland Omelet: Jumbo Lump Crab Meat, Tomato & Chesapeake Gold Farms Crabby Cheddar Cheese, dusted with Old Bay. I never thought about eggs and crab meat before but this was just amazing. More of that, please!
Caption: Hot Honey Goat Cheese Fried Deviled Eggs: Fried Egg White stuffed with Goat Cheese, topped with Egg Mix, Roasted Corn, Chives & Hot Honey. I love deviled eggs but this takes it on a whole new level.
Caption: Mom had the Coconut Cream Stuffed French Toast Challah Bread dipped in Egg Mix, stuffed with Coconut Cream Cheese & Flaked Coconut, garnished with Diced Strawberries, Brûléed Bananas, Cinnamon & Powdered Sugar. She couldn’t eat it all and saved it for later, but she said it was outstanding.
