Last Thursday was one of the longer days I’ve had in recent memory: I picked up an extremely last minute shoot in Basking Ridge, NJ. I had an 8:00am call time, preceded by a 90 minute car ride. So, I had to be out and on the road at 6:00am.
Of course, what happened? I couldn’t sleep. I have a tolerable bit of tinnitus and my room was somehow more quiet than normal. And add in the fact that I was nervous about oversleeping my alarm and getting stuck in traffic somewhere and it meant I was up at 3:00am or so.
Later that night, I had another shoot at DROM — a shoot I had agreed to weeks before as a favor for a friend and colleague. After the show ended, me and my friend walked to the 2nd Avenue F Train station, and as we were waiting for a Queens-bound F, I stumbled upon this intricate bit of graffiti. Kind of mind-blowing right?
