While in Rouyn-Noranda, I stayed at the Hotel Albert, which was conveniently located. A few venues were close by: Le Polonais Cocktail Bar was a couple of doors down. Le Paramount was roughly two or three blocks away. FME’s Main Stage, Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Noranda and Cabaret de la Derniere Chance were all about a 20 minute or so walk, a walk I can still picture in my mind’s eye.
My room was on the third floor. And on my first few moments in the room, I opened the blinds and curtains and caught a glimpse of Avenue Principale and some adorable child-like artwork on the street below.
