As I mentioned in a previous post, at some point during the Coney Island Mermaid Parade‘s run, I wandered over to Steeplechase Pier where i saw drum group Fogo Azul lead the event’s traditional “first plunge” of the season. The water looked amazingly clean — and it was just a gorgeous day that I didn’t want to end.
Of course, I had to leave my mark somewhere.
