Jacob Riis Beach, Rockaway Beach, Queens, NYC 8/29/26: Jacob Riis Beach and Fort Tilden Beach just don’t feel like you’re in New York City; personally I feel as through I had been transported to New England — Old Orchard Beach, ME perhaps?
While on the beach, a man caught a juvenile shark. A curious crowd of onlookers crowded around to see and take photos, including me. Because of course. I don’t think many of us have actually seen a shark in person. After a few photos, and a few agonizing minutes, he released it back into the sea.
As the sun began to set, it began to get a bit chilly, a reminder that fall is just around the corner. Time, as it always does, races by.
