Last week, I caught JOVM mainstays Beach House play a career-spanning, headlining set of their breathtakingly gorgeous and brooding music at the equally gorgeous Kings Theatre in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Los Angeles-based harpist Mary Lattimore opened the night with a set of her mesmerizing compositions centered around her harp and a loop station.
Before I went into the venue, I desperately needed a picture of its gorgeous marquee. (The last time I was at Kings Theatre, it had rained most of the night. I was wet and just wanted to be warm and dry inside — and I didn’t want to risk my camera.)
