Last Saturday, I was at Culture Lab LIC to catch a night of women artists that included three artists with deep ties to New York City: Jess Meillman, RYAL and Andrea Wittgens. After the show, an old pal and Clem’s regular was hosting an annual summer party at his place.

So, I took a G Shuttle bus to Metropolitan Avenue and walked to his place on Bedford Avenue. I really wanted to go: I hadn’t been super social over the past few months. Not having a lot of money makes that very difficult. And I couldn’t make the party last year: I was in Philadelphia for Sound Type. I saw a bunch of old pals and it was just a very fun night. The sort of night that can kind of keep you going for a bit.

I wound up being one of the last ones to leave. Unsurprising, I bet? Another friend and I walked to the corner and there was a brief moment in which we were thinking about food. So this photo came up.
