Yesterday, I went to Chinatown to shoot the 26th Annual Lunar New Year Parade. It was a long, exhausting and awesome day; the sort of day that reminded me of what makes New York so special and so deeply interesting to me.
As I got off the Woodhaven Blvd. M and R station, I saw this bit of graffiti, near the Dunkin’ Donuts that read “Long Island Sex Freaks.” I’ve seen it a couple of times but for some reason, I didn’t take a picture of it until yesterday. But every time I’ve seen it, I’ve jokingly thought to myself “Didn’t I see them play at Coney Island High?” “Or was it The Continental?”
