Last Saturday, I was down in Coney Island to cover the 43rd Annual Mermaid Parade, an event that I’ve attended and/or covered every year since 2007 — with the exception of last year.
I ran into some dear friends, hung out with them on the boardwalk and as we were walking over to Surf Avenue for a stop at Nathan’s Famous, I stumbled across Manintheboxx’s Radio Raheem mural at the Coney island Art Walls. The piece captures an iconic character in an iconic moment of the beloved film.
