Photography: Men’s Room, Le Paramount, Rouyn-Noranda, QC 9/1/24

Last month, I was in Rouyn-Noranda, QC for the 22nd edition of FME. FME was part of an incredibly busy period of traveling that included multiple trips down to Philadelphia for Asian Arts Initiative’s Sound Type Music Festival and Music Writers Workshop and Wichita, KS for Elsewhere Music Festival and Conference.

The festival’s closing night show took place at Le Paramount, a converted movie theater that retained some elements of the old movie theater while also having a bit of a barn-like decor. During the show, I had gone to the men’s room, where I caught the piece you’ll see, right above the urinal. It was both funny and kind of awkward.
