Last Friday, I was heading to Moynihan Train Hall, Penn Station to take a Southbound Northeast Corridor train to Philadelphia for the first weekend of Asian Arts Initiative’s Sound Type Music Festival and Music Writers Workshop. There will be more on that in the upcoming weeks and more.

Although I had been in Philadelphia twice in the past couple of years, I hadn’t taken Amtrak in at least six years. At the time, Moynihan Train Hall wasn’t really a thing yet.

I’ve been to Philly quite a bit over the past decade, but this trip saw me being a bit more adventurous and going to places I didn’t know before, and neighborhoods I hadn’t been in before. Of course, there’ll be more on that in subsequent posts.
