A friend of mine invited me to go to the New Museum to catch a talk with Michael R. Jackson, the playwright behind the hottest Broadway musical of the moment, A Strange Loop moderated by Lindsay Peoples, the Editor-in-Chief at The Cut. It was an insightful conversation on the origins of Jackson’s play, his life and influences, and on representation. And throughout Jackson proved to be a delightful, engaging and interesting man.
