I was at a George Floyd Anniversary protest on Sunday. As the march made its way back westward, there was another wildly incongruous moment. The sort of moment that felt like it could only happen here: Passing by this truck that was spray painted with the message “New York Is The End Of Your Past And Your Place Of Rebirth.”
A follower, who has gone through a momentous life change, recently relocated here and she told me that the message really hit her. I’m sure she’s not the only one.
