As I mentioned in a couple of previous posts, a dear friend of mine recently purchased a DSLR camera — her first! — and she wanted to begin playing with it. So we went to Flushing Meadows-Corona Park for an afternoon of shooting and offering some mild tutoring here and there.
Of course, I had my trusty and beloved Canon 6D Mark II, and it gave me an opportunity to revisit and even re-do some shots I took earlier this year. Personally, the New York State Pavilion is one of my favorite landmarks — and I’m happy to see that there’s some work to restore after decades of abandonment and neglect.
