On the road again
I just can’t wait to get on the road again
The life I love is making music with my friends
And I can’t wait to get on the road again

On the road again
Goin’ places that I’ve never been
Seein’ things that I may never see again
And I can’t wait to get on the road again . . .

Willie Nelson “On The Road Again”

9:21AM, Saturday, November 16, 2024: I was at Moynihan Train Hall waiting for the 9:47AM Washington, DC-bound Northeast Regional to Philadelphia for the final installment of Asian Arts Initiative’s Sound Type Music Festival and Music Writers Workshop.

A good portion of this year has been a wild whirlwind of places, people, food and music. It’s almost exactly how I dreamt 45 would be for me. Well, okay, mostly. That becoming rich thing never materialized. Oh, well.

This trip down to Philadelphia will most likely be the last trip I take in 2024. But I already feel the familiar itch to figure out where I’ll be off to next. I’m not wired to sit still.
