Queens Pride 6/7/26: Queens Pride reflects what I love most about New York, especially Queens — that all are welcome here. Covering the parade and wandering the post-parade street fair, I’m pretty sure I saw some of almost every group of people on Earth, a wild variety of food and a dizzying array of gender and sexual expression all around. Oh and dogs. So many dogs, y’all.

Parades like this always remind me that more often than not, if you meet people with kindness, a smile and genuine curiosity and interest, they tend to reciprocate.
