Random Lefrak City and Rego Park: A couple of weeks ago, a dear friend and music industry colleague had an early birthday get together at a Bushwick brewery. He runs a record label, which has a handful of JOVM mainstay acts. One of bands showed up to celebrate their guy.

The lead singer and his bandmates started talking about the 8 date tour and festival they played in the UK last year. At one point, he said he was living off the memories of their tour. And I knew exactly how he felt: I’ve been living off the memories of 2024, a year that saw me traveling most of the year.

That conversation has reverberated in my head since then.

Sunday though. I just felt deeply depressed. Not much has gone on job-wise. I’m broke. The days have begun to blend into each other. I know it’s easy to fall into a deep hole, so I went for a walk with my Canon R6 Mark II while listening to the Yankee game.

Did it help? Not really. But it beat sitting at home.
