The past week or so have been extremely busy in the JOVM world: As I’ve mentioned on a handful of previous posts, I was in Philadelphia last week for Asian Art Initiative’s Sound Type Music Festival and Music Writer’s Workshop. I shot two shows this week and my birthday was on Thursday. Busy week, indeed.
Last night, I stopped at Super Bock‘s and New Colossus Festival‘s Happy Hour at Baker Falls to say hello to some pals — and 2 for 1s drinks. Another pal was hosting a soul DJ party at East River Bar (which ironically enough, isn’t near the river). The J, M, and Z lines and a short walk from the Marcy Avenue stop was the best and easiest way to get to that bar. And I was waiting for the train, I saw that someone attempted to change Essex Street to Sex Street. Let’s go down to Sex Street, y’all!
