Photography: Shadows, Rouyn-Noranda, QC 9/2/24

I was walking from the late night show at Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Noranda to my hotel room. I was passing by the now familiar Tim Horton’s on Avenue Principale. Just about a minute or two before, I created a short video to share with family and friends. Although, it was at night, I wanted to show folks what I had seen and heard as I was going back and forth between venues and my hotel, the Hotel Albert just around the corner. (I might pass around some happy drunks near the FME Festival site on Rue 7eime until I passed the Dave Keon Arena on Avenue Murdoch and Rue 9eime. But after that, as a New Yorker, it would be preternaturally quiet. I pointed out where Lake Osisko was in relation to where I was walking. I also mentioned that the town hugged around one corner of the lake, and as you traveled through town, you just constantly saw the lake.)

And then suddenly, I was struck by my shadow stretching out before me. So, knowing me, I took a picture.
