Photography: St. Pat’s For All Parade 3/1/26
It took me a while to go through these photos and with New Colossus Festival this past week, I’m finally — and I mean finally — posting these today. Being busy is a good thing after all.
I love parades. And what better way to celebrate and champion diversity and inclusion, right? I went to Sunnyside for the 26th annual St. Pat’s For All Parade. What a fun way to spend a gorgeous, although chilly early March afternoon?
A collection of local electeds and dignitaries spoke before the parade including New York State Attorney General Letitia James, Queens Borough President Donovan Richards, Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso, New York Comptroller Mark Levine, Former New York City Councilmember Danny Dromm, New York State Senator Michael Gianaris, and more.

The Joy of Violent Movement is a completely independent and completely D.I.Y. media outlet. Over the course of this site’s 15+ year history, I’ve used my fiercely independent stance to cover music with an eclectic and global perspective that a lot of other publications just don’t have — and will likely never have.
To that end, I could use your support to continue to keep bringing you my unique global perspective on music. There are a number of ways that you can support this work.
I’ve been told that some people would prefer to make a one-time donation because it’s easy and less of an obligation. So, if you’re able to make a one-time donation, there’s a donation box below.
