About a week-and-a-half ago, I was in Rouyn-Noranda, QC to cover the 22nd edition of FME. Sunday night was the annual delegate dinner, at Centre de Musique en Sol Mineur. After dinner, a bunch of us walked over to the Sirius XM Main Stage on Rue 7eime to catch a night of bilingual hip-hop featuring Montréal-based collective LaF, acclaimed Toronto emcee and vocalist Haviah Mighty and beloved Montréal-based hip-hop act Loud Lary Ajust.
As we were walking on Avenue Murdoch towards the main street, I spotted a cat — presumably a stray — running through the grass of the local high school. One of the photographers, Matt, who had cats at home in Ottawa went up to pet this cat. And the cat was quite friendly with Matt. Perhaps. it knew Matt was a cat guy?
