Photography: Summer in Quarantined New York, Part 13

Labor Day was an unusual and kind of annoying Monday. I had to stop at the Apple Store to pick up something for Mom. And because it was a nice day, I decided to take a walk. This time, I decided to talk up Woodhaven Blvd. with the idea that if I got bored or didn’t feel particularly inspired, I could stop at a local pub and, have a couple of pints of Guinness outdoors. Implausibly, the pub was out of Guinness. How can you be a pub and not have Guinness? How is that possible?

The annoying thing for me is that without public transportation, my options are extremely limited: for me to get a pint of Guinness, I have to walk about a mile to the pub I walked to that ran out — or take a nearly 2 mile walk to Forest Hills. I should also add that three bars closed as a result of the pandemic,. further reducing my limited options. Worse yet is that I had spent a good part of the day walking in one particular direction.

I did take some photos though, so the day wasn’t a total loss. Check out some photos below.
