This weekend will be a busy weekend as I’ll be covering this year’s AFROPUNK Festival at the Greenpoint Terminal Market in a collaborative effort between JOVM and Musicology.xyz. But if you know me well, you know that I try my best to ensure that the show must go as much as it could while covering festivals and while traveling . . .

Last week, I was at Elsewhere Rooftop to catch two Montréal-based acts, Busty and the Bass, and rising artist Magi Merlin, who I’ve written about a couple of times on this site over the past year or so. Elsewhere’s Rooftop offers a gorgeous, old-school Brooklyn rooftop view of Bushwick, the Kosciusko Bridge to the north and to the west, Manhattan. Around the time I was there, I caught a the sun, hiding a bit behind some clouds and sunbeams hitting Lower Manhattan. That was followed by a gorgeous sunset.
