Photography: Think More Consume Less, St. Mark’s Place 12/7/23

Last Thursday, I was at The Knitting Factory at Baker Falls to catch New Colossus Festival’s and Super Bock‘s Holiday Party Show. It was a good opportunity to see some folks that I might not see until New Colossus Festival in March, to network with folks — and of course, to see some great emerging bands.

As I was arriving at the venue, I learned that the F and the E train were rerouted because of repairs. So I decided to walk down St. Mark’s Place to Astor Place, to catch an uptown 6 train. The plan was to transfer at 51st and Lexington for a Queens-bound E or F at 53rd and Lexington. That didn’t quite happen as I would have hoped. But while walking down St. Mark’s, I came across this rather thought provoking bit of graffiti that read “Think More Consume Less.”

They ain’t wrong. Maybe we all need to think a lot more and consume a lot less, huh?
