Summer in Quarantined New York, Part 9

Summer in Quarantined New York, Part 9

Part of this particular edition of my ongoing Summer in Quarantined New York series was taken on a rainy and chilly August afternoon in Forest Hills. The second part was taken on a gorgeous August afternoon and evening stroll through Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. Check out photos below.

One of the oddest things about Flushing Meadows-Corona Park is the fact that some parts of the park have been well-kept over the years while others have been left to the elements in a way that seems to resemble something post-apocalyptic, much like this entrance to the hoepful-named Playground for All Children.
At this particular moment, the sun brieflly hid behind the clouds.  The sunlit streaming through the clouds was just a gorgeous thing to see.
In case you can’t read this it says: “Wear A Mask, You Fucking Idiot.” I have to admit, I strongly agree with that. You want to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and allow us to get back to some degree of what we were doing before? Simple answer: Wear a mask. you fucking idiot!
Earlier this year. I’d come across tons of tulips and roses; but lately, I’ve been coming across a lot of Black-Eyed Susans.
I really like how wispy clouds look against a Cerulean Blue sky.
I guess someone complained about wearing boots as they walked past this overpass on Yellowstone Blvd. and Austin Street in Forest Hills.

We could use even more tolerance these days, don’t you think?
Rainy day pandemic selfie. Of course, wearing masks with beards is a little odd — but I’m not an idiot. Right now, wearing masks keeps everyone safe.

So you might start to see these stickers around town — because shameless self promotion. You can order some, too. Check it out here:
