The Chicago-based My Gold Mask is the collaboration between Gretta Rochelle and guitarist Jack Armondo. Their full-length debut, Leave Me Midnight is slated for an early 2013 release. Their music is informed by cinema – in particular Italian Giallo –and the warehouse district where their rehearsal space was. Their sound is anthemic and soaring, as though it can fill a gigantic arena. “Further It Gets,” is the first single and it in some way it kind of reminds me of Silversun Pickups.
