The Seattle, WA-based singer/songwriter Star Anna has received praise from the likes of Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready and Guns ‘n’ Roses and Velvet Revolver’s Duff McKagan, and after you hear her voice on “Go to Hell,” the album title track on her forthcoming release, Go to Hell (which Spark and Shine Records will release on September 24th), you’ll see why: her voice possess an uncanny similarity to the likes of Adele, Alice Russell and others – it’s soulful and smoky quality.

“Go to Hell” much like the rest of the material on the album was inspired by a rather dark period in her life – as the song thematically deals with betrayal, regret and ultimately hope. I think you may be hearing a lot about this woman in the next few months across the blogosphere and other sources.
