August is a very busy month in music history:
- MTV was launched 43 years ago today
- Coolio was born on this day 61 years ago
Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott celebrates his 65th birthday today. As a music obsessed kid, I loved Def Leppard. Hysteria was — and still is — my favorite Def Leppard album. Tell me that you won’t rock out to “Pour Some Sugar On Me,” you fucking liars!
Seriously though, Elliot and his bandmates are behind some of the biggest metal anthems of the 80s.
Happy birthday, Joe! May there be many, many more!
