After a series of high-profile Stateside festival gigs, Turbonegro filmed the video for “I Got a Knife,” at Niagarain the Lower East Side – historically, the band’s sleazy, grungy feel would have been very popular in many of the bars and clubs in the area. In some way, the band’s sound is reminiscent of AC/DC, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, and tons others. All of those bands being bands I’ve heard while drinking in many of those lost establishments. 

Sadly, that New York is quickly disappearing … Still, “I Got a Knife,” is a sleazy, decadent romp off the band’s latest effort, Sexual Harassment. I think this song will wake you from your tryptophan-induced comas.
