Although he works part-time as a tram driver in his native Helsinki, Finland, Jaako Eino Kalevi has become something of a cult favorite, as his music blends elements of psychedelic pop, funk and folk music. Interestingly, Kalevi is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist who has produced all the material on his debut EP, Dreamzone(which will see a December 2nd release through Weird World Records).

The first two singles off the EP, “No End” and “When You Walk Through Them All” were recently released as a teaser for the EP, and as a teaser for Kalevi’s full-length debut next year. “No End” sounds quite bit like an even chillier Joy Division – but with some seductive horns. “When You Walk Through the Night” bears an uncanny resemblance to the smooth funk of Rush Midnight
