Although now based in New York, electro pop quartet Haerts has members who originally hailed from Germany, the UK and the US. The band’s first single, “Wings” was produced by Jean-Philip Grobler, a.k.a. St. Lucia. The track has Grobler’s signature all over it: it’s a slick, pop confection that manages to have a swooning, yet sincere emotional pull to it. And although it sounds somewhat similar to his “All Eyes on You” there’s some subtle differences – mainly some incredible harmonies, reminiscent of 70s AM radio, the occasional use of cowbell at the hook and a slightly airier feel.
