Although this site will be turning 4 years old in June, over the last year or so I’ve started to receive an increasing amount of emails from bands, labels, band managers and publicists from all over the world. And not only is it deeply flattering, it makes my mission of covering and writing about music regardless of genre and country of origin, much more real – and it makes it pretty apparent that I’ve been on the right path all along.

A few weeks ago, I received an email from the Hamilton, ON-based electronic rock/electro pop quartet by the name of Illitry. “Follow Me,” the quartet’s latest single is comprised of guitars bathed in reverb, a groove that employs somewhat tribal beats with stuttering synths and swirling electronics. In some way it bears a resemblance to CHVRCHES and others but the overall sound is slicker and perhaps more pop orientated.
