Austin, TX-based instrumental band, the Calm Blue Sea have released 4 videos from their video series Aberrations and Departures, a video series which has the band playing each of the 8 tracks off their latest effort, Arrivals and Departures live in some of each member’s favorite locations in their hometown – without audio overdubs and editing. Sonically. they’ve been compared to Explosions in the Sky (and perhaps even the Octopus Project), which would be somewhat fair – but the fourth video of the series, “Pont Des Mouton” has the elegance and sweeping cinematic feel familiar to listeners of Glasgow, Scotland’s Remember Remember.
