Back in 2011, Grave Babies released the Pleasures 7” EP with it’s densely layered, decibel pushing, murky dissonance was one of the strangest and most interesting recordings I had heard that year. In fact, their 7” was ranked number 15 on this site’s 2011 Best of List.

February 26th marks the release of the band’s full-length debut Crusher through Hardly Art Records. The official video for “Skulls,” the third single from Crusher not onlyproves that the album’s title is particularly apt — the three singles the band have already released have been been a punishing and intense aural assault, similar in sound to that of A Place to Bury Strangers — but with a menacing, murderous feel.  But “Skulls” manages to add an eerie bit of ominous dread to the mix.
